Abstract


The school library has an important role in education as well as being a source of information, as well as a means of developing creativity, character and entertainment for students. But as a facility used to add to this science, the services provided by school librarian MAN 2 Majalengka still done manually. Students who borrow books for instructional needs inside and outside the class make the school library regulation difficult for the data. Then the library data collection process has several obstacles such as difficulties in searching book titles, collection of books collection, transaction management in the form of book lending and return of books, registration of new members, visitor recording and report making. In an effort to improve the performance of library services, the use of information systems is an alternative or appropriate solution as a data processor in managing activities in the library. In addition, information technology used in an effort to help improve the processing speed of a data is to use barcodes. QR Code or Quick Response Code is a twodimensional barcode developed by Denso Wave Corporation in 1994. Library administration information system uses Rational Unified Process (RUP) as a method in system development. The result of this research has been designed to build a library administrative information system integrated with QR Code Scanner made to assist officer in managing data in school library so that more efficient and effective.
