Abstract

height is always an obstacle in the application of hydram pumps in the field. This is especially true especially in low-lying areas. In the highlands, height is easier to obtain, but the distance to get a certain height is still an obstacle.

Herto Mariseide Marbun et al (2013) conducted a study to find out the results of simulations carried out at an altitude of 2.3 m using ansys fluent. As a result, the speed of the waste valve increases with increasing step length of the waste valve.

In this study, a numerical study will be conducted on the flow of hydram pumps using ansys CFX with a height of 2 m and variations in the inlet angle of the hydram pump.

the smaller the inlet angle that is owned, the higher the speed produced is the hydram pump outlet. This can be seen at the inlet angle 30° (1 pendulum) which gets a velocity of 1,786 m / s while the inlet angle 45° (1 pendulum) only gets 1,267 m / s.
