Adapun scope penelitian pada jurnal ini yaitu (1) sastra (teori, kritik, dan sejarah sastra); (2) Keterampilan dan pembelajaran sastra; (3) Keterampilan dan pembelajaran bahasa; (4) Analisis wacana; (5) Penelitian linguistik, sosiolinguistik, dan psikolinguistik; (6) Evaluasi pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia; (7) Kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia; (8) Model atau media pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia; (9) Kajian kebudayaan Indonesia; dan (10) penelitian lainnya yang relevan. Artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun yaitu pada bulan FEBRUARI dan AGUSTUS.

Firstly published in 2016 and has been listed on PDII LIPI on Juni 10, 2016. Since April 2018, the journal has been ACCREDITATED by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of The Republic of Indonesia. The recognition published in Director Decree No. 21/E/KPT/2018, and for 5 years.
